Swedish film director, screenwriter and producer Björne Larson has a childlike obsession for fairytales and Scandinavian folklore. Björne started his cinematic career in 2003 by writing and directing the short film TO KILL A CHILD – awarded GRAND PRIX and INTERNATIONAL PRESS AWARD at Odense Film Festival. In 2018, Björne wrote and directed the short film LITTLE MATCH GIRL awarded BEST OF FEST at 2018 LA SHORTS Int’l Film Festival, BEST OF SHOW at Best Shorts Competition and BEST DRAMA SHORT at the 2018 San Diego International Kid’s Film Festival.
Soni Jorgensen is a Swedish producer, screenwriter and script consultant, working in the US, Europe and Sweden. She received her training at the USC Graduate Screenwriting Program and highly competitive European professional CREATIVE MEDIA programs. Soni has worked with producers such as Karen and Howard Baldwin (Academy Award© winners for RAY), Andreas Bareiss (Academy Award© winner for NOWHERE IN AFRICA) and director Danis Tanovic (Academy Award© winner for NO MAN’S LAND). Trained in Frank Daniel’s methodology, Soni has consulted many films, including the Swedish box-office hit AS IN HEAVEN, nominated for an Academy Award© for Best Foreign Language Film and sold worldwide. In 2018, Soni wrote and produced the short film LITTLE MATCH GIRL, starring Shree Crooks, Rebecca Ferguson and Gustaf Skarsgård.
Academy Award© winner Kim Magnusson has produced and/or EP’ed over 130 ﬁlms. Kim received an EMMY for the international co-production ISLAND ON BIRD STREET. The ﬁlm won for Best Children’s Movie, and was awarded double Silver Bears at the Berlin Filmfestival. Kim has been Oscar® nominated in the category ’ Live Action Short Film ’ six times, and won the coveted award twice, in 1999 for ELECTION NIGHT and 2014 for HELIUM. Kim produced the American feature I KILL GIANTS (2017) and the 2017 shortlisted SILENT NIGHTS. In 2018, Kim produced the short film LITTLE MATCH GIRL, eligible for an Academy Award © from winning BEST OF FEST at the LA SHORTS Int’l Film Festival. Swedish award winning cinematographer Aril Wretblad grew up in the outskirts of Stockholm. Aril has a BFA in Cinematography from the University College of Film in Stockholm (99-01) and has collected a broad experience from working his way up by numerous crew positions such as gaffer, grip and first assistant camera. Aril’s hard work with feature films ”Easy Money” and ”Zozo” payed off and both led him to win the Swedish Guldbagge Award and The Eastman Kodak Award for Best Cinematography. He was also nominated Best Cinematography for the commercials ComHem ”Astronaut” and ”Synsam – Astigmatics” at The ROY Awards. Aril’s latest short film, LITTLE MATCH GIRL, praised for it’s beautiful photography, was awarded BEST OF FEST at the 2018 LA SHORTS Int’l Film Festival.
Theis Schmidt is a Danish award-winning editor and teacher at the National Film School of Denmark. Theis’ impressive editor resume lists 12 features, including the Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Award Winner THE NILE HILTON INCIDENT and international acclaimed independent hit-series EASY MONEY, EASY MONEY II: HARD TO KILL and EASY MONEY III: LIFE DELUXE, earning Theis a Swedish Guldbagge Award Nomination for Best Editing. Theis’ latest short film, LITTLE MATCH GIRL, complimented for it’s strong poetic editing style, was awarded BEST OF FEST at the 2018 LA SHORTS Int’l Film Festival.
Joseph Shirley is an American composer from Jackson, Mississippi. Raised in a musical household he was surrounded by classical, rock and blues. In 2015, Shirley completed the University of Southern California’s prestigious Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television graduate program, and is now living and working in Los Angeles. Fascinated with blending elements from the classical and contemporary realms, Shirley enjoys working in an array of musical styles in his film music. Joseph Shirley is known for his work on 2018 blockbuster Marvel flick Black Panther. Joseph and long time collaborator, composer Ludwig Göransson, created the original music to LITTLE MATCH GIRL, honored for it’s experimental score of ambient synthesizers and classic strings.
Los Angeles-based Swedish musician Ludwig Göransson is best known for his often playful film and television scores. Ludwig grew up with a musician father and began music lessons at a young age. Reared mostly on pop/rock, he branched into jazz and classical in his teens, and went on to graduate from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Demonstrating his hands-on interest in genres beyond his screen work he collaborated with Donald Glover’s rap releases under the Childish Gambino pseudonym. Ludwig produced the 2018 Billboard Hot 100 number one hit ”This Is America”. Ludwig’s was the composer for the 2018 blockbuster Marvel flick Black Panther. Together with long time collaborator Joseph Shirley, Ludwig created the original music to LITTLE MATCH GIRL, honored for it’s experimental score of ambient synthesizers and classic strings.
Swedish producer Oliver Oftedal has worked with production and finance at numerous film companies in New York, Los Angeles and Europe. Being a passionate film lover, Oliver is producing a biopic about the Swedish inventor Alfred Nobel, co-producing the upcoming documentary Slab City, and in development of TV series and other feature films through his Los Angeles based production company. In 2017, Academy Award© winning producer Kim Magnusson and filmmaker Björne Larson teamed up with Oliver to produce the short film LITTLE MATCH GIRL – awarded BEST OF FEST at 2018 LA SHORTS Int’l Film Festival, BEST DRAMA SHORT at the 2018 San Diego International Kid’s Film Festival and BEST OF SHOW at the 2018 Best Shorts Competition.
